Every single positive thought has the power to undo hundreds of negative ones if you just let it. ~ Holly Hinton
All too often we let our negative thoughts outweigh the positive ones and these then create our reality.
This is as much a reminder to myself today as to everyone else! I was in a rut this morning and spent most of my day diligently getting jobs done that I knew needed to get finished before my Reiki Master course tomorrow and Wednesday (I can’t wait!). But it was only when I did something different this afternoon, changed my routine and spent some time in the lovely early Summer sunshine that I once again realised just how wonderful the world is.
I didn’t worry about the grass not being cut or the borders being overgrown (difficult to do, but not my concern today), I just sat quietly in nature and listened to the birds and watched the clouds. I sank into the grass and focused on pretty much nothing at all. It was utter bliss.
Ten minutes sitting on the grass was all it took to reset my positivity meter to ‘full’ after a very trying weekend…
If you ever get in a rut, I urge you to push outside of what you know and try something different – you might be surprised at how well it actually works.
Now, I’m off to get ready for my Reiki course *happy dance goes here*
